Safety: Couple reports computer scam

» Police arrested a 29-year-old Marshfield man in the 600 block of South Vine Avenue for two Clark County warrants. Officers booked him at the Police Department and later turned him over to Clark County deputies.

» A 25-year-old Marshfield man turned himself in on a Warrant for failure to pay a $200 fine. An officer booked the man and released him after the man posted bond and had a new court date.

» At 9:40 a.m. Monday, a Marshfield woman reported her neighbor made ruts in her yard when he built his garage in the 900 block of West Blodgett Street. The neighbor said he would repair the ruts.

» At 12:47 a.m. Thursday, a Junction City man reported his estranged wife's boyfriend had threatened the Junction City man with a gun. The boyfriend denied the accusation and the estranged wife said her husband had been pounding on the door of the residence where she was staying. The wife also said she thought her estranged husband had slashed the tires on his vehicle, which she drives. An officer arrested the boyfriend on a Clark County warrant.

» At 7:54 a.m. Monday, a Marshfield couple reported they received a pop-up advertisement on their computer, which directed them to contact Microsoft through by telephone. The couple called and the number was for a computer consulting company that convinced the couple to give the company remote access to their computer. The company then charged the couple's credit card $1,000 to remove malware on two computers.

» At 9:26 a.m. Monday, an officer arrested a 37-year-old Marshfield man for a probation warrant in the 1600 block of North Jean Avenue. An officer gave the man a preliminary breath test and it showed he had a .290 blood alcohol concentration. The man, who was out on a bond that had a condition of no alcohol, was booked at the Police Department and taken to the Wood County Jail. Police are requesting a charge of bail jumping against the man from the Wood County Sheriff's Department.

» Ambulances responded to 10 medical emergencies Tuesday.

» At 11:21 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported baby ducks fell through a grate near the intersection of St. Joseph and North streets, Marshfield, Officers were able to free the ducklings.

» At 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, a Nekoosa woman reported someone dumped a television in her driveway in the 900 block of Prospect Avenue.

» At 2:09 p.m. Tuesday, deputies arrested a woman for drunken driving in the 6800 block of State 13, Rudolph.

» At 3:56 p.m. Tuesday, a Saratoga woman reported she wanted to file a complaint against a social worker who had gotten her cellphone number and called her. When the officer went to the Saratoga residence, no one answered.

» At 4:55 p.m. Tuesday, a Nekoosa woman reported she loaned her car to a friend and the friend had not returned it.

» At 5:01 p.m. Tuesday, an employee at Terry's BP, 100 Market St., Nekoosa, reported a gas drive-off.

» AT 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported someone was using his Social Security number.

» At 5:57 p.m. Tuesday, a Richfield woman reported her neighbors were plowing up her grass in the 8400 block of Richfield Drive.

» At 7:11 p.m. Tuesday, an Arpin woman reported finding between 25- to 35 bottles of a brownish liquid in what had been an empty dumpster. A deputy determined the liquid was chewing tobacco spit.

» At 10:17 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy arrested a woman for drunken driving in the 9700 block of Carousel Court, Saratoga.
