Phoenix teen accused of stealing 30 computer monitors from CVS

PHOENIX - A Phoenix teen has been arrested in connection with the theft of 30 brand new computer monitors from CVS Pharmacy corporate offices.

Court records show that a teenage security guard stole 30 computer monitors worth $6,000, still in their boxes and tried selling them on Facebook.

On May 10, police responded to the CVS Corporate offices near 44th Street and Van Buren Road in response to a the theft of 30 computer monitors.

Police say a security guard at CVS alerted them that she found the monitors posted for sale on Facebook. The person selling them was another security guard, 19-year-old Ryan Wesley Veale.

Police contacted Veale through Facebook and arranged to buy some of the monitors. They matched the serial numbers to CVS records and then arrested Veale the next day near 24th Street and McDowell Road. Police managed to recover all the monitors.

Veale has been charged with theft and attempted trafficking in stolen merchandise.
